Bill Hiatt

Bill has a technology background extending back to the days of room-sized computers fed by punch cards. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and worked for a number of years in the banking industry. He then joined an international oil services company as a merger and acquisition specialist.

When the PC first came onto the market, he set up Hiatt Enterprises, which developed financial and accounting software for small businesses.  He later founded Technology/One, a technology support company which provided programming and technical support for UNIX-based systems.

That company was followed by Imaging Technology Group, which provides document imaging and records management software and services.  ITG also provides database and workflow tools, network security, data conversion, mobile apps, and technology consulting services.

ITG has completed projects for NASA, Boeing, Office Depot, the Scripps Hospital, and NexTel.  ITG also provides secure data archival for most of the larger County Superior Courts in California, including Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego County, and San Francisco County. ITG provides technical support to a number of real estate and mortgage companies in Southern California, including Century 21, Inland Escrow, Prestige Escrow, and Citywide Mortage. ITG has several airports as clients, as well as a number of aviation-related service companies.

What Inspires Me?

Having been in the technology support field since the IBM 360 days, I never cease to be amazed at the new technology that comes along. Each time something new is released, I think, “Wow, that is really cool! What else could they possibly come up with? There can’t be any more ideas…” And yet, the next day, there will be another exciting announcement, and another on the day after that, and so on. It never seems to end.

To see the constant flow of new concepts, ideas, and technology is truly inspiring. It is a great example of human ingenuity, passion, and creativity. I can’t wait to see what comes along next! (By the way, where is my flying car??)
