Rob Wigington

Rob is a visionary airport and transportation industry leader with senior management and leadership experience at many airports, large and small. As President & CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority he led an organizational transformation, grew domestic and international air service, built award-winning concessions and customer service programs, and launched a major $1.2 billion capital development expansion program at Nashville International Airport—BNA Vision.

He also held leadership positions with the Houston Airport System, the San Diego International Airport, the Port Authority of NY&NJ and the Airports Council International-NA. Rob has both airport executive management and consulting experience with Booz Allen Hamilton’s Airport Financial Management Group and Fleishman Hillard Public Affairs.

Rob has served on the board of directors and leadership of the major airport industry trade associations–AAAE and ACI-NA–and many other aviation, transportation, business and civic organizations. He brings a broad and unique industry perspective and knowledge of best practices’ and innovative approaches to any situation or project.

He has a strong record building and managing airport organizations and community and industry partnerships, designing and directing marketing, communications and community outreach campaigns to secure and support new domestic and international air service, promoting travel and tourism and stimulating economic and commercial development for airports and the communities, regions and states they serve.

Rob also brings excellent relationships and experience working with FAA and federal agencies, and expertise in state and federal legislative, regulatory and funding issues.

He is an Accredited International Airport Professional (IAP) and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration / Intergovernmental Management from the University of Southern California.
